April 2024: Jamae Tasker exhibition, featuring 'Space Bath' audio experience by Sami Freeman

Jamae Tasker (collage artist): Decades-long resident of and teacher in the Outer Sunset of SF, Jamae Tasker began her creative practice when making hundreds of protest signs in 2020 that she and other community members placed on the Great Highway here in our neighborhood. Her practice has since developed into collage art as a way of processing the world, personal events and emotions. 

Sami Freeman (film composer and artist): Sami creates evocative, ethereal, and colorful worlds through sound.

Described as "feeling like light but actually being sound," Space Bath is an introspective piece that skillfully intertwines emotional vignettes through a cinematic soundscape. The composition is layered with deep bass, synth, and organic instrumentation, resulting from Freeman's explorations on grand pianos and foreign synths that yielded otherworldly sounds.
