Art Pop-Up w/ Jennifer Zee

Black Bird's featured Fall artist, local print maker and scientific illustrator Jennifer Zee, returns for a holiday pop-up with prints and other giftable art.

Jennifer Zee’s art combines contemporary relief printmaking with science themes and geometry based compositions. She often uses multiple blocks in a modular fashion, or a single block carefully designed to tessellate. As a scientific illustrator, her nature inspired prints are species specific and often celebrate biodiversity or ecological relationships. She has developed a distinctive style which strives to incorporate precision in technique, complexity and balance in composition, yet is infused with organic beauty.
